With the launch of "Neighborhood Night" on January 14th, 2010 Hotel ZaZa Houston's Monarch Lounge is destined to become the favorite gathering spot on Thursday evenings. Centrally located in the Museum District, steps away from the Medical Center, Rice University and the surrounding residential neighborhoods, Monarch will offer an unmatched opportunity to relax.
Beginning January 14 Monarch will offer a weekly Thursday "Neighborhood Night" happy hour. From 5 p.m. until close, guests can enjoy beer, wine and well drinks and a selection of delicious appetizers from the Monarch menu, each for $5.00. Select from ZaZa's signature Crispy Calamari Salad with Asian Greens & Sweet Chile Vinaigrette; Rock Shrimp; Burger Sliders with Horseradish Pickle, Red Onion Relish & Smoked Gouda Cheese among other offerings.
Live entertainment will feature jazz singer and Artist in Residence, Kristine Mills, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. each Thursday. Mills, who describes herself as a "bold, blonde entertainer outta the old school" is a native Houstonian. Having performed throughout the United States, Brazil and Europe, she has been impressing audiences with her varied repertoire, vocal prowess and command of various languages ever since she launched her professional jazz vocalist career in the early 90's. Reservations are not necessary; there is no cover charge.
